Case 03 — Hair salon

Urban

A salon whose whole web presence is a Facebook page. This is the home base it should point at.

What's there now

The gap

Urban has an active Facebook page and a scattering of Foursquare-era directory entries. There is no phone number publicly findable outside those listings, which is a quiet, daily loss of business.

Social pages are for people who already know you. Search is for the ones who don't. Without a site there is nothing for a local query to rank, and no page a Facebook post can usefully link to.

Everything above comes from public listings — directories, social pages and map entries — gathered while prospecting. Urban frizerski saloni has not commissioned this work and has no involvement in it. It is a concept, built to show what the site could be.

Decisions

What the site does

Something to rank

A real page with address, hours and services in the markup, so “frizer Škrlca” has an answer that isn't a third-party listing.

A findable phone number

The single most valuable missing piece. In the nav, in the hero, in the footer, and tappable on a phone.

Where Facebook posts land

Every post can now point at a booking form instead of a comment thread nobody reads twice.

Fixed prices, stated plainly

“Nikad me nisu iznenadili računom” is the review this salon should be earning — so the price list makes the promise explicit.

Photography is free-licence stock from Pexels, standing in until the salon is photographed properly. The screenshots above were captured without a network connection, so they show the artwork the page falls back to — open the live concept to see it with the photographs.

Small screen

Phone first

Most of this audience arrives from a map pin or a social profile, which means a phone. The mobile layout is the one that decides whether the visit turns into a booking.
